Quiet ducks which wont stray far?

I have Muscovies in my chicken coop. They have never bothered the chickens. Most of the time the chickens don't bother the ducks.

Yeah thanks. I only have an acre, so I don't quite have the room for a far ranging duck. My chickens stay within 100' of the coop all day long.

My concern is neighboring dogs. Unfortunately, it's about one million per acre here. Wish I had an extra million, but don't we all...

My pet Chicken and Metzer sell minimum of two. Don’t need so much but Craigslist cheaper and can get ready to lay.

Is your yard not fenced? I have the holderread strain of saxony, i live on about .22 acre. They are very quiet as long as they stay fed and watered. It took some trial and error to find good quiet ducks but dont let anyone tell you all mallard derived ducks are to loud for city life.

We can't fence unfortunately. Live in NH on a slab of granite. Last quote to fence was over seventy thousand. I'll take a look.

My female mallard derived ducks are so loud my neighbors can hear them from nearly a mile away. Obviously individuals vary, but mine shout all day. They don't care how much water, food, or fabulous swimming water they have. They love to quack. Loudly.
