Quiet Ducks?

I am new to chicks and ducks. I bought 7 chickens and 2 ducks from Tractor Supply Company. Live on Ten acres in MS. I have fallen in love with the fowl.
Hi all,
About the two ducklings,:little yellow, crispy feeling bath toy looking darlings. They are now about 6 weeks old. Look like Aflac duck. White. One is larger than the other.
The smaller has some neurological problems I think. If he falls on his side he can’t get up. He isn’t an agressive eater, and I separate him to make sure he gets enough. Today the flock came to me, all except for him. I went looking for him and found him on his back, legs wilted looking and head to side. Thought he was dead. I flipped him over with my foot, and he got up and walked away. Do any of you know what I can do to help this duck? I adore all of my 7 chickens and 2 ducks. They all get along beautifully. The bantams never get picked on by the large chickens. There is a hen that took the lead in the flock. My sick duck has never quacked, although he flaps his bill. When the healthy one started quacking for the first time, the flock paniced and ran to the henhouse.
My chickens and ducks are soo funny and entertaining. I worry about the one though. If anyone knows about the above type of behavior in a duck, please let me know. I'm worried. THANKS< Brenda

brenda you might want to post your question under the ducks section but hit post a new topic and tittle it maybe " strange duckling behavior is he sick" or something like that I don't know if you can do it through the edit tab bottom right of your post or you might have to copy and paste it to a new page I hope that made sense

Looks like you've gotten all the good answers already.

Muscovies for meat and quiet. Can't beat that.

Cayugas would be a good second choice, although, my Swedish were quieter than my Cayugas -- and meatier birds.

Muscovies are also fairly desirable should you want to breed and sell for aesthetics or meat; you shouldn't have a problem. Muscovies are not my favorite duck, but I do keep lavender Muscovies and their temperaments and personalities are quite enjoyable.
