I'm looking into ordering a few geese this march to act as "weeders" and was wondering which breeds are considered quiet. I realize quiet is subjective when it comes to geese, but was hoping to find something that didn't make the same level of noise of a chinese goose i used to own. The chinese gander i had was a sweet bird but the noise it made was unbearable. It was much louder than any rooster I've owned.

Some breeds are really good grazers, but as for weeders as such

.....My geese (pilgrim-type) eat loads of grass....it´s me that does the weeding to keep the grass good for them!

My geese are also pretty quiet.

Thank you for all the responses. This march I'll try to order 1 buff and 1 pilgrim from murray mcmurray hatchery.
