Quieting a rooster

Has anyone tried the Velcro collars for quieting down your rooster in the a.m.? I’m new to this and started out with four baby chicks but unfortunately as they grew up two turned out to be roosters. I gave one to a nice farm out in a country setting but I’m trying to keep one to protect the hens and have chicks down the road. Unfortunately he is very noisy in the morning and I’m sure the neighbors won’t put up with it for too long. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

"Morning" meaning what time? Before sunrise? At daybreak? Or all morning long until noon?

Before sunrise, lights coming on in the house, any house, where the rooster can see it will set him to crowing. Solution: block his view of windows or don't turn on any lights when you get up before dawn to use the bathroom.

After sunrise, roosters crow to reassert their authority over their flock. I have two roosters. They adore duets. (I don't mind and I don't have any close neighbors.) However, I have noticed they are quiet when they are inside the run in their rooster enclosure watching the girls. I guess it's like Hen TV for them. They are segregated so they can only watch, not compete actively for the hens' attention, so they are quietly attentive.

Those collars literally choke a rooster. I will refrain from passing judgement on those who use them, but I will say that it would be more humane to cull the roo or rehome him.
