Twice this week I have heard my roosters make the "alarm" sounds and when I've gone to investigate both times a found hawks (once a lone male and the next the male and his mate) on my acreage.

I am always torn. They are so beautiful and yet I know they are such a danger to my birds!

funny, all I wanted to do is get the camera and take it's picture first. then I just watched in case I needed to open the bedroom window to scare it off. thank God it flew off. now they know I have chickens, all this time I've been more worried about coons and now I need to woory about hawks.
