Quilt Block Swap for May 2010/ closed

Quote:
Simple nine-patch done in green and yellow prints. I am not very good at machine sewing and decided this month to at least try and put together a sewn block. And I was actually happy with the outcome of this one!

It went out in a priority flat rate envelope with about a dozen stamps on it. This was the first month that my husband mailed it without going to the post office and getting a tracking number too.

Today marks one week since it was sent. If it has not arrived by June 1st I will mail you another one.

ok then, I know I haven't got it yet. I've learned to just go to the post office if I'm not sure about the postage, I don't always put a confirmation on them. I think they hold them sometimes if it's a priority envelope and just dropped in a box. One block placed in a normal size envelope only costs an extra .20 with a regular stamp.

Golden, I am really sorry about this. I am not sure what has happened. I have gotten several blocks in the mail in regular envelopes and it seemed they were always a bit mangled or chewed about the corners (envelope only, thankfully, not the blocks).

So we opted to use the heavier priority envelope in hopes that it would be less likely to get caught in the machinery, etc...and we always got delivery confirmation. Like I said, this is the first time he did not take the time to go to the post office and get one.

So, whose end would hold it? Ours or yours? I don't think it was the postage, however, my husband is now wondering if he wrote the zip code wrong, transposed a couple of numbers or something like that.

And, to add insult to injury, I washed my camera and don't even have a picture to post so you can see the block you have not got, LOL. I am sure it will show up, and if it doesn't, I will send you another.

I hope your root canal went well. My dentist says I am the only person he ever knew who could sleep through a root canal. He thought I was relaxed. What he didn't know was that I was petrified and tend to go narcoleptic in really unpleasant situations! I guess I snored all the way through mine.

Hope you're feeling better!

it arrived today. I love the green fabric!

The root canal was mostly stressful more than anything, now I have to wait for the dentist to find out how much is left on insurance for this year before he can put a crown on it. I'm not allowd to chew anything for a few days on that side. at least the cold sencitivity is gone. They said my tooth was probably cracked under the filling is why it was like it was. If that is the case then I can pinpoint when it happened. I went through severe TMJ treatment, 3 surgeries and braces at age 38, during the process after the 2nd surgery my teeth only met on one tooth then a second one on the other side hit before the braces pulled my teeth to meet and the 3rd surgery that cut and moved my lower jaw, those teeth took the brunt of pressure for over 8 months. talk about pain, the root canal was nothing!

Glad you like it! I really didn't think of it as "red & purple" I just thought they looked nice together! Paul & I were out to lunch the other day and we saw a bunch of older ladies wearing purple with red hats. (The Red Hat Society) I hope you weren't thinking that.

You'll need a memory card and software, the brother set is the PED-Basic, my set was ~$120.
