One of my very good friends built me a three pole, basteless quilt frame made out of soild oak! It is SOO beautiful and absolutley heirloom quality, my great-great-grandchildren will be quilting on this.
He has made more to sell to local quilt artisans. If interested PM me!

Thank you!
I nearly fell over when I saw it. Talk about exceeding expectations. I have a quilt that I started hand quilting that I am going to finish up in this baby! That "Attic windows" quilt will have to wait until after my son's "Tractor Rail Fence" Quilt is done.

Is it the rollers or the gears that slip?
I could send you gears to replace them. It seems to me that if you "jig" saw the gears they don't hold tight.
If you replace those they will hold your quilt tighter than a drum!
Let me know!

I would love to see it.
No matter what the frame looks like, your grand-daughters will LOVE knowing they are quilting on a frame that their GREAT-grandfather made for their Grandmother!
That is such a cool feeling.
