I feel like a jerk now for saying that about my niece and nephew. They are great kids, they are only 14 now, who knows how much they might like having one of their grandmother's quilts when they are grown.
I still feel trapped by some of this stuff. My great grandmother's bed is wrapped in a blanket and stored under the bed we sleep in. Pretty quarter-sawn oak, slept in myself from about age 10 to age 39, when I got married.
