Cartoon Animals: Assignment Two

What I think we are going to do is progress through animals, but the next lesson will be on coloring/ shading. Any questions/ objections?

We are going to start with a fish. We are gonna have 3 described steps for this one.

Start with the body- a sideways teardrop. Then add the fins and eyes- no particular order. Then the mouth and gill.

Add the scales and lines on the fins.

Ink over what you want to keep in felt tip pen, or fine-point sharpie. Erase the unneeded lines. I made a mistake with the mouth on this one-- look at the second one to see what it is supposed to be like.

The great thing about this is you can modify it. Elongate the body, change the facial expression, etc.

Assignment

- Draw each of the steps out.
- Draw a finished fish.
- Draw lightly in pencil and finish with the felt tip pen or fine-point sharpie

-Due July 23rd

I wont be able to do it in a felt tip pen or a sharpie. Is a regular pen okay?

for the cartoon animals grades, I didn't get a grade for my animals. I only got one for the shapes.

I like the adapted mouth style. That was made to be basic.... so you guys can learn it and then adapt it.
