Ihave no idea what happened. Temp was steady @ 100.5 entire time and humidity was in 69 - 74 % range. I candled on 18th day as I moved to hatcher from bator and all looked great.
Anyone have any idea what I may have done wrong? Anyway...here's some pics of the 2 Silkies that did hatch.

No advice??? I was hoping for a flurry of "tips". This was my second attempt with same results so I must be doing something wrong!

No way my luck is that bad???

i'm so sorry! that's so upsetting!

i don't know too much firsthand about incubating/hatching, so i can't really give you any advice...

but i am sorry about this happening!

anyone with any advice out there??

Maybe your humidity was too high, I think you should keep it like 50% for the first 18 days and then raise it to 80% or so for the last 3 days. I don't know, my first go didnt turn out well either! I have some in my bator now so we will see!

I don't know.....I have hatched quite a bit and I have had NO luck with Silkies. Everyone says they are no different to hatch than any other eggs but all of mine die right at the end or right after hatching. Sorry, I know it is disheartening when this happens.

I maintained 45 to 50% first 17-18 days and increased once I placed in hatcher. Kept temp same whole time.

One thing I noticed on the "dying at day 18" post was maybe I'm not venting enough. This very well may be my problem.

Thanks for the kind words all and the advice.
