What would be the main reason a chick would die in the last three days before hatching...i had my temp and humidity pretty well spot on...so I am confused...these are serama eggs and so far i have hatched 4 out of 10 with one more egg due to hatch in two days.

I'm not sure where this info came from. It was a university perhaps TN or AL.
I saved it once so I hope I don't get in trouble for plagiarism.
In the last 3 days without a pip the causes in order of importance that seem to apply to you are
  1. Inadequate turning, resulting in decreased embryonic membrane development and nutrient absorption.
  2. Humidity too high during incubation or after transfer.
  3. Incubator temperature too low.
  4. Hatcher temperature too high.
  5. Eggs chilled (e.g., at transfer).
  6. Nutritional deficiencies.
  7. Heredity.
  8. Embryological development accident.
  9. Breeder diseases.
  10. Inadequate ventilation.
  11. Prolonged egg storage.
