I have always been terrible about wanting to everything done at once. It has taken me decades to get to the point where I can tell myself that one layer at a time is good enough. -and then maintaining it is an acceptable layer too.

I broke down last night and turned ours on. The asthmatics in this house were huffing and puffing. The air was so heavy and hot and still. It felt like we used up all the oxygen.

I canceled! My poor husband is so sick. He is my driver, and I can't drive after, but that isn't the main reason, he said he would anyway, but he can't go like this. I had this bad cough for weeks, now he has it, can't stop coughing. He is just miserable. I will call tomorrow and reschedule. Bless his heart. When it was in our house, it just about killed me. HE needs to go to the doctor!
I refused for a month and a half, then it went into pneumonia. Get a friend to drive him to the doctor. Or get a taxi. I had to drive my husband home from a something-a-scopy appointment when I was the sickest, that is what convinced me that I needed to see a doctor.
