Good morning everyone, I've had a crazy week, but things are falling into place quickly now. We bought a car 2 days ago and drove down to West Cork, where we used to live. Spent the morning catching up with everyone we knew here and visiting DS's old school. He was so happy to see his old friends and teachers again he wanted to stay, so the principal asked us to sign a form for insurance and let him stay there while DH and I visited agents and friends. He's going back to school today

We spoke to an agent I knew locally about a possible rental (this part of Cork is a wee bit expensive to buy in) and he send us out to a house that was…. interesting. Let's just say I wouldn't keep animals in there, never mind living there myself! He confessed he hasn't been out there in about 2 years and had no idea the condition deteriorated so much. We picked up DS from the school later, planning to drive further inland and base ourselves there while we look. While I was picking up DS, the agent phoned my husband and said he has something for us. 4-Bedroom house, with outbuildings, on a big farm, with amazing views of the countryside. It's down a quiet lane, 5 minutes drive from the town centre. We met with the landlord who is still busy renovating and upgrading the house, but asked we give him a few more weeks, then we can move in. I'm looking for something in the interim now. I'm relieved things have gone so well this week and looking forward to settling down in my own house finally.

I miss chatting with you all and the quotes every day, but this week has been a bit mad. We're still looking for a place to stay while we're waiting for the house to be ready for us. Hopefully we'll find something soon-soon, because living out of suitcases is a bit painful. We drove down to one of our favourite places this morning, the Sheep's Head peninsula, near Bantry, West Cork (click on pics to enlarge). Once again, my pics do not do this place justice...

Love these. This is what I was talking about when I said I could picture this place. So happy things are coming along. If ya want, keep sending a photo or two or three along as you visit. Oh...it would be fun to see some of a town too! These are just beautiful!

We are getting rain again! Love it though. Got so warm for a while. Now, I don't have to water. Rain until Mon. We will take it. If we can get rain like this once a month, or even twice, we just may get that serious drought down. Hope California is getting some of it first.

You always post such beautiful flowers! Yours?
