Yup! It surely is fun! We've been running this lodge for 8 years now. We have 19 rooms in all. We are a block and a half off of the downtown so people really love to stay here since they can easily walk to the shops. Plus we have a mountain in our backyard so it makes people feel like they are still somewhat isolated and in the wilderness. We do a campfire and s'mores each night with our guests. We use this time to get to know people, hear their stories, share our stories and even, sometimes, witness to them. We've made wonderful, lifelong friendships all due to the campfires at night. And we are filling up fast! We'll be booked in about a week!
My husbands cough is better! Thank you. It took a while, one of those that hang on, but now he is hardly coughing. I am still having some tightness in my throat and chest, but I am not worried about my heart at this point. My Esophagus is probably the problem. Meds..of course. Morning and night to see how I do. If not better, I will go see my ENT.

Hope you, your husband, and your daughter all get to feeling better quickly!
Hey everyone, I've almost given up trying to keep up with you all, just know you are in my thoughts and prayers
We found something wonderful this morning, when driving down the road that joins the one I'm moving onto soon, we spotted this (click on pic to enlarge):
I just said to my DH this morning at breakfast, next time we buy eggs, I want to support one of the local chicken keepers and there it was. One of three of these egg selling systems by the side of the road that I know off in this area. The lady at the house came outside when we stopped, so I went in and chatted with her a bit and learned the eggs are being sold by a 12yo boy, who is the proud owner of 150 hens and a couple of ducks, who have the run of a huge field. I asked her if I can see them and she took me to the back of her house where I saw some of the birds and they looked happy, happy.
It was so wonderful to see and hear how well he is doing! I said to her I'd much rather buy eggs from him than the supermarket (even if they are somewhat cheaper). It's so good to see kids do things like this and his flock looked great!
