Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

1000

Thank you for the inspirational quotes tonight. I need it… I'm so frustrated today and not sleeping enough last night is not helping.

Uhm roses, I bought some more today and there was this wonderful old lady at the garden centre who gave me a interesting tip for deterring aphids. She said when I plant the roses, to place two bruised (not crushed) garlic cloves in the hole, under the root ball. The roses will take up the garlic and the scent apparently deters aphids. She said after awhile these cloves will be gone and used, then I must take 4-5 cloves, put it in a litre of boiling water and let it steep for 48 hours, before watering the roses with that garlicky water. This will "top up" the garlic in the rose plant. I'm going to try this with my roses and see how it works.

Your roses will smell like an Italian restaurant Sumi. lol

Jon, I saw the most terrifying thing. Does Texas really have a giant centipede called the Texas redhead that eats lizards and toads? If they do you are a brave soul. That's worse than a giant snake.

This is exactly what I tried to teach my children. And, I always told them that family will always be there for them, not sure about friends. I'm sure there are some good friends out there that stick around even after marriage, but not always the case. They get busy, with their own life.
