Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Hope you have a blessed day!
How did your sleep test go?

Hi WB..hope your day is going well.
Thank you for asking about the test. I do have mild to moderate sleep apnea. Two different nights showed the two different results. He explained how I stop breathing for two different reasons, one is the electrical part of the brain not working, the other obstruction. I was given a few ideas as to how to do better, by laying on my sides..or a tooth guard, or, the CPAP. If it gets worse I will need the CPAP, but you can believe I am trying the easy ways first, and I'm not so sure that the teeth thing is one of my favorite ideas! I think I would have a jaw ache when I woke up, just from looking at his apparatus there! Eeek! I did well sleeping on my sides last night. I guess. I did sleep ok. :)

My father-in-law has the CPAP. He's used it for several years now. He seems happy with it and so does my mother-in-law, but he has really severe sleep apnea. I don't know how either of them survived the major sleep deprivation for all the years before he finally got tested and got treatment.
I hope the easy methods work for you!

The CPAP stuff does look pretty awful, though it's come a long way since my FIL first started using it! But either way, I hope you find a way to get a good night's sleep every night! Priceless.

Thank you. I know it's important..your organs need it! Well, the whole body needs sleep. I'm hearing more and more of what you are saying about how far they have come. One thing, the machines aren't as noisy as they used to be. Plus, I don't think I would like a mask that covers most of your face! I have seen photos of some that are just around the nose area. I could go for that. We will see, we will see. :) Thank you for the positive post on how well it's working for relatives!

Hi Cynthia! Hope the easy methods do work for you. Once you have a good nights sleep you will feel rejuvenated!! My uncle has the CPAP but really did struggle for many years before he was diagnosed. He said he really does feel like a new man now he sleeps better. Good luck :fl
