Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

LL

Oh my goodness! This goes along with what happened in church today. I saw a gal that is always smiling. Always happy to greet you. Not today. I had gone up to her earlier and talked to her on how well her son was doing with the music in nursery. She smiled and talked a bit, then I saw her down the hall after a while, sitting in a chair, not smiling, again looking sad. I just went up to her and asked, are you ok? She looked up at me, and she was almost in tears as she shook her head no. I just hugged her and said, well, here is an ok hug, so you can feel ok and know that I love you. She told me that she loved me too. Got to talking about her adorable little boy again, got a smile out of her. Life is a never ending ... try. Try and get this right. Try and be a good person. Try and teach our children well. Try. She knows, where to be, even on one of the sad days. In church hearing more of the things we need to know. I know, she will be smiling again by next week. That's how she is. She won't hold on to the sad. She will have tried, and she will be happy again soon.
No one has a perfect life. We too often assume that because a person is smiling more often than not, that their life is sooo easy. We all go through our own trials. Don't take a smiling person for granted. Give them hugs anyway, even when they are smiling. :)

Very touching, Cynthia! It takes a very strong person to smile in the midst of life!
