Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Kyle was running a 102 F fever on Saturday so they brought him in to the doctor and they said it wasn't the chemo. He must have picked-up some viral bug and told them he could have Tylenol for the fever. The fever returned even while he was on the Tylenol so they had him brought back in last night. He has been admitted for observation. Please pray they can figure out what is causing the fever. Thank you, Mary

Ohmy gosh... my brother included soemthing like this in his "speech" on Saturday (he graduated). You don't have to be related by blood to be family. With the additions of my "non-blood" relatives, my family is SO huge!

Keep us updated as you can....praying for Kyle. I'm sure it's nothing too serious. My 7 year old niece Ashley, who has been fighting her battle with Leukemia for a year and a half now, does this periodically and it's always scary, but usually nothing to really worry about. Remember that when these little guys are battling any kind of cancer, their immune systems are all over the board and fever can be a sign of nothing more than that!

I'm home for lunch and here is a quick update. I talked to my DD and the blood work and ultrasound they did this morning "don't show anything conclusive" so they are planning a CT this afternoon. Kyle complains of pain when going to the bathroom and of pain between his incision (near bottom of rib cage on left side) and his pelvic area. His temperature remains high. He keeps asking to go home and sleep in his own bed. Please pray they find out the source/cause of the fever and pain.
Thank you all for your continuing prayers, Mary

@Blooie I hope you are right and it is nothing more than a reaction to the treatment.

Sadly, medicine frequently is NOT an exact science - I hope they can determine Kyle's problem soon.

"Birds of a feather flock together." We all prove that daily, don't we.
