That's awesome! I had a sister that didn't have Downs, but she was mentally handicapped. When my mother passed in 06 I became her guardian. I took care of her until 2020. She passed away from kidney disease..was on Dialysis but said..no more! That was during the lockdown. She passed away here at home. Little did I know my husband with Alzheimers would pass away in the exact same month a year later..2021 here at home also. Then another sister last year in January. Not here. There were 5 of us siblings. There are three of us left. I'm the oldest. Thought I would go first.@Cynthia12, Thank you for your posts. I wish we didn’t have to have months or colors to be aware of the things that impact our family and friends, but such is life.
October is also National Down Syndrome Awareness Month, although March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day. Colors are blue and yellow.
