Hey Tricia, planning is fun and doesn't hurt those winter-stiffened muscles. We can start a lot of stuff by March (some as early as Jan.) but we have to beat the heat of summer when no one, even the plants, want to be outside lol.

Hi WB, most things I start from seed and then transplant. Some stuff, like beans and corn, go directly into the ground. I do it by hand, what kind of planter do you have in mind?

Love it, great avatar! "...support groups available to enable you..." [IMG]

Good morning everyone [IMG] Wonderful quotes to start the day, thank you!

My DH is helping me look for weird and wonderful ideas for my future homestead when we discovered this fun building:

Hi Debby good morning! Small seed like tomatoes and peppers I start in a little greenhouse type tray and bigger seed like corn I put directly into the ground also. But they have little planters that you can get at tractor supply that you push by hand. It digs the hole puts seed down then covers it up. Holds different size seed and you can set it to different depth. I was just wondering if you use one I'm thinking of getting one. Makes it a little easier on the back.
