Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

you got some rare blood Debby

Yeah, not too common. The blood bank always love to see me. Vampires, they used to call me at all times of the day/night when they needed my type. I'd drop it all and go in just to find out my iron level was too low to give so I told them "don't call me, I'll call you". I have earned their 1-Gallon Donor pin though

My husband is O- They would call him and he'd drop everything and run in to donate. He asked what the big emergency was one day and they said, "oh we were just slow and didn't have anything to do, so we called you up.' He lost work hours for years because they were bored and had nothing to do. He told them about the same thing, but less politely.
They lost their 'greyhound' that day.

Nobody will blame you if you get a early start on the funny quotes. How many eggs are ready to hatch?
I have 28 I believe, sorry didn't see this earlier!:hugs
Hey everyone, sorry so quiet. I'm not fit for company at the moment. Love you all and will be back and posting soon :hugs
:hugs
Baby ducks, they are crazy big, 6 girls 1 boy. Bits of snow here and there but the lakes are open and I have put a few things in the greenhouse despite knowing better... But I saw some leave starting outside and just had to plant something lol.
Lo, sorry about that. Glad your ducks are well. I hear ya on wanting to plant something. I get the itch right about now.

I love quotes! You folks seem like a happy bunch! That's a good thing! :D Have a great day.
Nice quote and welcome!
Surviving :) been getting a lot of migraines lately, but it's a beautiful day and I can't waste a minute. How are things down in Georgia Wild Bill?
:hugs Sorry about the migraines, I have had them all my life, from the time I was a little kid. Over the years they have gotten a little better. Not sure if it is age or the fact that I am eating pretty clean. Longest one I had was 4 days and required 2 trips to urgent care until they got the right shot for me, Demerol. Yuck hate the side effects so I am glad I am past the worst part of mine. My maternal grandmother had them bad, my sister hardly is affected. That being said her daughter was getting migraines and then had a grand mal siezure, no history of seizures anywhere in our family. She is now 23 and she hasn't had another one since she was 18. Migraines suck! I am off to unpack some Fiesta Ware that I got from my mom. I cannot keep sitting here playing and watching the incubator! I seem to have an attack of the hug gremlin on my iPad!

What a terrible abuse of a donor!

Donating was usually ok with me but one time I got upset with them. You know how they grill you on your private medical/life situation (drug user? HIV positive? blah, blah, blah). One day I was giving blood and in came a tv camera crew and the state governor. Everyone made a huge fuss over him, put him right in a chair and hooked him up to donate without asking him anything. Ironically, a few months later it came out that his wife was divorcing him over his many extramarital affairs. I hope they tossed his pint!

Oh I forgot about the 'greyhound' reference! Our westie got a greyhound transfusion one time. That's when I found out that's the type they always use for any dog breed, right?

Ok I lied, I had to show off my latest thrift store find for $1.50. One mug....

I don't like giving blood. I did it once will never do it again. They almost killed me. Took me a couple hours to recooperate!!
