Helen Keller ...
"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us."
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart."
"Life is either a great adventure or nothing." "What I am looking for is not "out there", it is in me"
"Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light." "I can see, and that is why I can be happy, in what you call the dark, but which to me is golden. I can see a God-made world, not a manmade world."
"Happiness cannot come from without. It must come from within. It is not what we see and touch or that which others do for us which makes us happy; it is that which we think and feel and do, first for the other fellow and then for ourselves."
"The world is moved along, not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes, but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker."
"One should never count the years -- one should instead count one's interests. I have kept young trying never to lose my childhood sense of wonderment. I'm glad I still have a vivid curiosity about the world I live in."
