Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Having chickens has been my way to reconnect with the outdoors. I counted up all the time and averaged it out and This Past Year alone I have spent more time outdoors that probably most of my adult life.

I am astounded at how much my life has changed.

I emptied the deep litter today. 7 wheelbarrows full, didn't even phase me. Ok, maybe it wore me out a bit, I ended up getting 6 chicks today and loaded up a broody too. Eeek!
I just noticed that you are in Detroit et al., My son got accepted to
Kettering. Not sure we can afford it or that a southern boy can handle the cold. They offered him a nice scholarship, so if I end up shipping him your way- I am sure he'd help with the chicken poo.
Keep an eye out for a tall curly haired boy.

There are no answers on either side of a two headed beast.. Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear, or a fool from any direction...
Wild Bill, welcome to the thread and I am Tricia. :frow
And here I've spent my life trying to stay OUT of the hot water ;)
Sumi, great quotes! I was wondering where you lived given the times you are online.
According to the information I saw in the St. Augustine, FL Cracker Museum, a cracker was an immigrant that drove cattle down into the southern states herding them along with a whip. The cracking of the whip is what gave these early settlers the name "cracker".
How interesting. Never knew that, thanks!

Have a Great day Everyone!!
Love the last two
:thumbsup I hear ya on the sunshine, we are suppose to be 75 today, no snow in sight at our spot as it has melted. The gang is going crazy like you said chasing bugs and such. We are up in egg production as well. Had 19/23 the other day so the flock is loving spring.
