Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Marcus Aurelius ...

"The universe is change; our life is what our thoughts make of it."

"The present joys of life we doubly taste by looking back with pleasure on the past"

"When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love."

"Waste no more time arguing about what a good man should be. Be one."

"You have power over your mind - not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength."

"Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth."

"Remember that very little is needed to make a happy life."

"People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. Never esteem anything as of advantage to you that will make you break your word or lose your self-respect."

"A wrong - doer is often a man that has left something undone, not always he that has done something"

"To them that ask, 'Where have you seen the gods, or how do you know for certain there are gods, that you are so devout in their worship?' I answer, 'Neither have I ever seen my own soul, and yet I respect and honor it.'"

"Time is a sort of river of passing events, and strong is its current; no sooner is a thing brought to sight than it is swept by and another takes its place, and this too will be swept away"

"It is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live."

Yay! Quotes! Some great ones here, and now I've got both a place AND an excuse to lay some of my favs down. My 1st BYC and a rule in my life for important issues:

Ponder and deliberate before you make a move.
~Sun Tzu, The Book of War

Good morning everyone!

Missed most of yesterday's BYC action because we were out in a stall working with mama goat on having twins! The babies finally showed up and everyone is fine. Poor mama started laboring around 1:30 and finally had them (a boy & a girl) at 9:30 last night. She was exhausted by the time it was over but those little ones came out bleating (more like squeaking, lol) and doing their best to jump and tumble all over the hay. Things are going to be a lot livelier with them here!

I'll get pictures today and share later.

Have a wonderful day everyone!
