Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Hi Debby Good Morning! Garden doing good the squash I planted last weekend is coming up now. How's everything over your way?

Hi WB,

What sort of squash are you raising? We're having a stink bug problem with our squash (yellow crookneck and buttercup). I keep starting seedlings and they grow well but once we put them out in the garden, the bugs move in. It's war between me and the bugs! I've been spraying like a madwoman with the Dawn detergent solution.
Our watermelon are flowering and showing off tiny little melons so YAY on that!
Potatoes are doing well, and finally have green tomatoes appearing.
The sunflowers, zinnias and marigolds are really starting to flower now.

So, a typical garden...some good, some is struggling.

Good morning Sumi!

Fingers crossed for you that they can move on real soon and your plans can get underway for your move. I'm not sure how it is there in South Africa but over here in UK the tenants have more rights and laws on their side than the actual person who owns the house. We've had some nightmare ones who just refuse to leave untill bailiffs are on the way, after they have not paid the rent and wrecked the house. It's hard to find good ones. Get on at them too much and they do you for harrassment. All seems wrong way round for me

That's pretty much the way it is here too Kim. Hey, if you like Star Wars (I love the original movies!), here's a fun quote:

I did 4 rows of yellow squash. The tomatoes aren't doing anything. I started them from seeds in a greenhouse tray and transplanted them but they just don't seem to be growing. Maybe they are bonsai tomatoes lol.

Sumi, wishing you all the luck with the tenants moving on. That will be a big relief to you and a step toward Ireland.

I have a feeling things are going to be o.k. now and we'll get to move on soon-soon. It's a wonderful feeling. On the 1st of this month, exactly 2 years ago we landed in Cape Town and I vowed as soon as possible, I'm outta here! It was a long wait, but we're nearly there finally.

Hope your day goes well Jon.

Sarah, glad to hear you can take a break now. Looks like the dance recital went well :)

Tricia, the chicks look great. (I thought someone else was having a hatch as well recently)

I'm glad we have some new family members posted :)

Sumi, I'm still crossing my fingers that all goes well for you.

I'm also glad I'm not the only one who woke up thinking "May the Fourth be with you" today
