Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

That does not sound like fun. I hope you can resist the temptations of sleep and accomplish your goals

Morning Patti, thanks for the thumbs up! We need to scrounge up a hidden stash of ovations for all of us to dip into when we run dry, lol. Maybe there's an ovation bank where we can take out a loan? They do go fast some days

We'll have to ask Sumi since she's mod maybe she can help us out. lol

My primary goal today will be staying awake until a reasonable bedtime. These pain killers are knocking me out and doing nothing isn't as much fun as some may imagine. So...for today, I have a goal...stay awake for it!
Aww Debby pain killers why? so sorry if your hurt... Oh pain killers are the pits and muscle relaxers too.

Pain killers suck. I haven't had 1 in nearly 5 years. My son is a recovering pill junkie, since he went through rehab, I haven't had any in the house. There have been many times I may have needed them, but didn't want it in front of his face like that. Devil is ever tempting people like that. It's a minor way I can assist him in continuing to succeed.

I understand what you're saying. It's like keeping alcohol out of the house while living with an alcoholic. (among many other things for many other addictions) I think that's very kind of you to keep your son's well being in mind.

I pulled a back muscle, finally gave up the otc stuff because it wasn't touching the painful spasms and went to a doc...the first time in over 2 years. He gave me 4 prescriptions but one I just refuse to take (oxy) and didn't fill. They have helped but they make me so drowsy and uncoordinated. I'm a hazard to be around, lol. DH is coping magnificently.

Don't get me wrong if people need them they need them, I don't judge them for that. Just my personal preference to avoid them.
Don't worry Ken, I understand what you're saying perfectly. And if anything else would have helped, avoiding them would have been my preference. I've had some serious back issues for about 30 years now and I know when I reach the point that nothing else is going to give me some relief. I'm sorry about your DS, that must have been horribly hard seeing a child go through that.
