Hi everyone just wanted to stop by and say what a blessing this thread has been to me ever since it started but more so over the last few weeks,
My dad passed away this past Wednesday evening and all the quotes funny, inspiring, comforting etc were a main stay for me.

Lost my father way to early - lost my mother at 97. You are never ready for this regardless of the circumstances.

Gosh I wish I could give you these hugs in person! I know how difficult it is to lose a parent. It really does leave a hole in your heart and soul. I sure hope your heavy heart can heal soon.

My dad was 88, 97 sourland now that is a really nice old age. Just makes you wonder where the years have gone doesn't it?

Thanks everyone it has been difficult. But it was and is so nice to come here and visit and read and fellowship with you all. BYC has some of the loving caring people I have ever met. [Maybe I need to get out more]

Patti, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Losing a parent is tough and not something you get used to even with time. I know you have wonderful memories of him and hope you find some comfort with them. I'm glad you were able to be there for him and I'm sure he was too.
