Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

I was restless today, so I grabbed my camera and went castle hunting. Never mind post-surgery ouch and the oh-so-Irish weather, we had a good time and snapped a few pics for you all (click on images to enlarge)

North Kerry coastal road. The castle and the gate to the castle:

And the castle up the road from that one….

Another castle about 2 towns further down the road

Church in Adare

Castle in Adare

One of my favourite things about driving in Ireland… no room for misunderstanding here!
Wow! That's really cool! I don't think I've ever seen a real castle before in person XD

I'd be quoting King Author all the time... or Shakespeare... I guess he had a few castle quotes too,
I would say "Hark!" a lot.
a lot.
so much ...Sumi would box me up and ship me back freight collect.

Lovely pics @sumi

I've not made it over in the summer but maybe a new year break :fl We are looking for a break after the new year which would include shooting for the other half and son and horse riding for me. Anything near you that you can think of?

I'd love to have you guys over! The house we're looking at renting at the moment is in an area I know very well, so I can find out about shooting for your boys and I know a lovely riding school not too far away where my DS had lessons. I'd join you with the riding, I haven't been on a horse in much too long.

And 'forsooth'
I'd say that a lot.
This place and the place names reminds me of Lord of the Rings? Like Galway for example. The Gaelic names of places are signposted along with the pronounceable ones and Galway is aka Gaillimh. Every time I drive past the city and see the signposts I think of L.O.T.R.

Some of the other names here are just darn cute. My favourite name here is a small village in County Galway called Cloonboo. I'll bet they had fun with that one over Halloween!

In this region alone, I can take you to 20 different castles in a day. They are not all as spectacular and big as these in the pics, but there are loads of them and they are lovely.
