Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Just got this email from DD.

Hello to our faithful supporters :),
This is the email list we have used through our journey with Kyle over the past 6 months. We wanted to reach out to all of you specifically but also encourage you to pass along this message to anyone with whom you have shared Kyle's story.

We have a request for anyone who has been praying for Kyle or even just been thinking about him through everything.... Would you take a minute and write him a quick note that he can read when he gets older? Kevin and I were talking about how we can talk to him about all he went through and the amazing people God surrounded us with through this time. We realized there was so much we would want to say but we don't want to forget. So we will each write a letter as well. The letter should be anything you want to say to him that maybe you can't because he is so young or things you want him to know about his journey. Other things if you wanted could be why it was important to you that he get better or how you felt when you heard he was sick or how you felt when he got better. Basically anything you want. We want everyone that has been supporting him to have a chance to tell him whatever you want him to know.

You can mail the letter to us addressed to Kyle (or just put "for Kyle" on the back) and we will not even open it. It will go directly in a box for when we think he is ready. Or you can email me and I'll print it out. We appreciate you taking time to do this. We know how supportive you have all been and we want Kyle to know too.
There is not a timeline on this, but we know it is fresh in our minds and yet we have had a few weeks to process. In case this is the case for you as well, we wanted to ask now.
Thank you for all the support you have given to Kyle and us over the past 6 months. And thank you in advance for the words you will share with Kyle.

If any of you are interested, please send your note by PM to me and I will print them out and put in a single envelope marked "Team BYC".

And someday maybe I'll do that - right now I love every chaotic minute!

No Blooie, you will always be doing something for someone else, even if it's just sitting back and enjoying that nice soft recliner chair someday..you will be doing something when you compliment, when you smile at someone, when you hug someone, when you give great advice to someone. It will always be there. It won't be as chaotic, you will just be more comfortable doing what ya do. Know why? Because there will come a day when the kids won't let you do as much as you want. They will say, lean back, take it easy mom, it's our turn to take care of you. Ahhh, but then there it is...those moments I spoke of above. You will still have opportunities that will mean a lot to them. Even if they seem small to you, that smile that is showing love and approval of whatever is going on will make their day. Because it came from mom...grandma. :) It's great.

@NotAFarm Mary, that is a wonderful idea! I often thought, reading the posts here, that you or Kyle's mom, should keep it and show it to him one day, so he can see what an inspiration he's been for us all. Once I've got my mind back and unscrambled I will write something for him and send it to you.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and smiles

You guys area awesome. I got up feeling awful today, not helped that I had to spend about an hour flat on my butt on the kitchen floor now, pulling the remains of a seed plume from the carpet… (If anyone wants a cat, PM me.) I'm in a fair bit of pain and still very lightheaded and tired. Very tired.
