I'm sorry you don't feel well today, I hope you start feeling better soon!

When was that made.......
That cartoon panel is..."Detail from the December 26, 1965 edition of the Sunday comic strip ‘Our New Age’by geophysicist and oceanographer, Dr. Athelstan Spilhaus."

An amazing man, by his own definition, a "retired genius" and the man to whom President Kennedy said in his youth all he learned about science he learned from Dr. Spilhaus' comic stirp. Google him, he did amazing things, like developing the spy balloons one of which crashed in New Mexico in 1947.

You guys area awesome. I got up feeling awful today, not helped that I had to spend about an hour flat on my butt on the kitchen floor now, pulling the remains of a seed plume from the carpet… (If anyone wants a cat, PM me.) I'm in a fair bit of pain and still very lightheaded and tired. Very tired.

No Blooie, you will always be doing something for someone else, even if it's just sitting back and enjoying that nice soft recliner chair someday..you will be doing something when you compliment, when you smile at someone, when you hug someone, when you give great advice to someone. It will always be there. It won't be as chaotic, you will just be more comfortable doing what ya do. Know why? Because there will come a day when the kids won't let you do as much as you want. They will say, lean back, take it easy mom, it's our turn to take care of you. Ahhh, but then there it is...those moments I spoke of above. You will still have opportunities that will mean a lot to them. Even if they seem small to you, that smile that is showing love and approval of whatever is going on will make their day. Because it came from mom...grandma. :) It's great.
What a warm and kind thing to say, @Cynthia12 I'm in no hurry for that recliner, believe me, and loving isn't something you have to be up and moving around to do. It just sorta, well, is. In the end, all I really have are family and friends - everything else just flits in and flits out. My amazing dad used to tell us, 'If it ain't right, try to make it right. And if you can't make it right, then make it fit. If it doesn't fit, then it's just taking up space you could be using for something else and you don't need it in your life anyway." He was a font of wisdom, my dad, and the more the Bud the Wieser he got!
