Figured I'd post one of moms favorite quotes

"Fair? Fair is a place were you get funnel cakes and cotton candy. This is real life."

Aren't remembered "mom and dad" quotes the best? I see inspirational quotes everywhere - here, Facebook, signs you can buy to hang in our homes, gas stations, those little sign jobs on wheels - and some of them really resonate and stay with me. But the ones that really stick are the ones I heard at home....

Your mom sounds like my beloved Ma - she had a million of 'em! The one we heard most was, "I don't care WHO started it - if I have to come up there I KNOW who'll finish it!"

When I'd tell on my brother, mom would lovingly say "fight it out yourselves." Ever the doting mother. :lau
Now Dad, he had some good 'uns. Like to put things back where I found them. Which I did, and when he couldn't find whatever he was looking for it was because he didn't put it back where he got it from! Well, that's more a fond childhood memory than anything but whatever. :D

If we would whine about going out in the rain to get the mail, put something away we left outside, etc:

"You were wet before you were dry. Get out there! A little rain won't hurt you." My Mom

...to this day, being out in the rain doesn't bother me.
