Some people were asking about the R-Com Suro 20. Now that I have had some ducks hatch... I can comment. It worked great! It has digital temp and humidity settings that are set at the factory. You can change these if you want to. I did not change the temperature but changed the humidity because I was hatching ducks. It kept the correct temperature and humidity. It also has an alarm if the temperature should get too high or too low. It did not go off during incubation. It has a great little pump that automatically pumps water when needed into an area at the top of the incubator where it drops on a pad. You really do not have to take the lid off unless you are going to candle the eggs... the temp and humidity return to normal very quickly. The incubator sits on a cradle that moves it back and forth to turn the eggs. You take it off the cradle the last three days.
I had 9 duck eggs to start with. One was not fertile. One stopped developing (I believe it had something to do with a detached air cell from shipping... you could see the ducks bill had poked through the air cell too early. The other 7 ducks hatched on schedule. From the first experience I think it is a very good unit.
