Found my 4 yr old white silke hen on the floor of her cage this morning.

Hasn't been sick, & was a great little girl.

I'm gonna miss her.

Kerry, I'm really sorry about Chinook. I know all too well how it feels to lose a beloved bird.

Thanx for the kind words everyone.

Just got back from burying her out by the forrest.

She joins Hunter & Jester (blue silkies) in the the predator proof Chicken Crypt. (an old small safe I had lying around)

I can imagine the look on someone's face when the area gets developed & they dig up the safe.

They will be quite surprised when they open it & find a pile of chicken bones.
