Thank you all so much. I buried her today, alone. I count my chickens everytime i see them and I only count 6 and I wonder, "wheres little girl now?" and then "Oh. Right." Very tough stuff. I think they notice shes gone too.

So sorry about your Little girl. I lost one of my favorites last summer and it was very difficult. People that have never spent quality time with chickens will just never understand what great individual personalities that have.

What a cute face...and those cheeks! I love chicken cheeks...

I had that kind of reaction recently...I called a vet about my little cross beak EE and she was very cold and had the "it's just a chicken, they are a dime a dozen" attitude.
Mine are all pets...they all have names...personalities all their own. If It weren't for them and my dogs, I'm sure I'd be a wreck of a human being.
