Hey Lacy-

Sorry about your loss. Don't give up. I remember early this spring as I waited anxiously for my hen to hatch her eggs. She had moved from her nest box to "take care of things" and I thought she had given up on the eggs and as such...not viable. I threw them out but ONE was viable. The chick was *this* close to hatching! I was so upset...I almost threw up! I cried all the way to bury it. I then went to the coop and the hen was on the lip of the box clucking for her eggs. I cried even more...it's horrid. I apologized but I still felt like a wretch! In fact, I still cringe when I picture that baby in my head. So sad....

BUT!!!!

Don't beat yourself up...we all live and learn. Today's life is tomorrows lesson. Or something like that!

I got ONE more chick...the night before last!
