Rabbit and chickens

We are building a new and bigger pen so I was wondering if I could put the rabbit with the chickens.

It depends. I kept my rabbit with a blind rooster and a duck for several months and he was fine.
Most people will say "Absolutely no", but I say maybe. The rabbit could be in danger of having his eyes pecked out, while the chickens could be scratched up. I recommend watching the rabbit in long intervals with the chickens to see how they do together.

I would watch them, it could work out. As for me, I wouldn't want my rabbit crawling around on their poop, and out in their run possibly getting air bombed by chickens droppings.

My 3 full grown rabbits live wonderfully with all of my chickens at the moment and have for some time.

Iv head 1 rabbit live with my chickens eating their food and drinking water with them do fine fr 5 months and then sold him ( he was a freebie my friend was selling the farm and I don't breed nzw's so didn't have a hutch for him)

I had some rabbits in with my chickens for a while when I was in the middle of building my hutches. The only problem that I had was the rabbits kept digging out and then the smaller chickens would escape through the holes that the rabbits dug. They got along just fine, although the rabbits seemed to prefer the layer crumbles and cracked corn over the rabbit food while they were with the chickens.

I had two rabbits in with my chickens for quite a while. We moved and they dug out and disappeared.

My coop is a barn that also contains rabbits. However, my rabbits are in raised wire cages and we keep the chickens from roosting above the rabbits so the rabbits don't get pooped on. If you search on here for the same topic, you will find that it has been discussed many times. Some people have combined the two just fine and others have had problems. Rabbits can chew chicken feet and chickens can peck rabbits. A lot of it depends on your specific animals. There is also the issue of rabbits living in chicken feces, which increases their risk of pests and parasites. If you are concerned with the nutritional balance of their feed, there is also the logistic issue of ensuring the rabbits eat rabbit food and chickens eat chicken food. Personally, I prefer to keep them separated even though I have them in the same building.
