Rabbit Ear mites

I believe one of the rabbits I am petsitting is coming down with earmites :/ It has a few scabs inside its ears and usuall holds its ears by its body opposed to straight up like its sister... What to do...

Massage mineral oil into the ear every third day for four applications. The mineral oil will smother the mites. Follow-up applications smother mites hatching from eggs. - That's straight from the Mississippi State publication on raising rabbits. I know some use olive oil if they have no mineral oil around.
