Greetings all,

First time posting- I've just recently come across this site. I have chickens and rabbits. My question is this- my rabbits are tossing some of their feed out of the feeders and it is falling through the cage and thus becoming waste. I want to know if I increase the height of the hanging feeders- will that help cut this down or eliminate the waste? I will include pics here for everyone:

They're not quite in the chicken yard yet... still building that part (I've finished the coop- I'll add pics of that soon- complete with brooder cage inside). Currently, I'm giving them half of our 24x32 garden for their yard (the chickens I mean) until I get theirs done.

Raising the feeder never worked for me.

I raise rabbits and they all will drop some feed, but if you have one that rakes every pellet out onto the ground, the only thing I have found to stop this is to use a crock (bowl) made for feeding rabbits.
After I do this, they don't waste any more feed.
It is just more time consuming to feed, having to open every cage and feed.

I think some just don't like the feeders.
I have one cage that whatever rabbit I put in that cage, it rakes the feed out, but won;t do it in another cage. Almost all my feeders are exactly the same, who knows what goes on in those little bunny brains.

Is there any way you can make the feeder not so slanted down? My bun has the same feeder, but the part with the feed is level to her floor--almost slanted back.

Any way you could change the angle?
