Rabbit Folks - need some advice

That bunny will be fine. Don't worry! Especially since he found a friend now. (You)

I would fatten him up for a few weeks and then if you want to...release him. However, he might come back for those tasty pellets and bring the fam.

Dumb question - you are sure this is a wild rabbit, right? I only ask because you called it "gray," I think of the wild coloring as being more like brown.

Ages ago, I wound up raising a couple of litters of wild buns when their nests were too disturbed for their respective mothers to continue caring for them. I released them when they were eating, drinking, and moving around well on their own. In one case, I left it a little too long and they started fighting each other - nasty!

As to where, well, every place you can possibly put it, it is going to have predators and other rabbits to contend with (wild rabbits don't like competition!). The best you can do is find a spot with good cover and wish it luck!
