Rabbit nipple water

Who uses one. I set one up for my breeders yesterday, and it appeared my buck couldn't operate it. IDK if I should give them some more time or just stick with the bottles.

Usually they figure it out in short order. Unlike us, they can smell water. Did you check to make sure it is working properly and not plugged or something?

My rabbits refused to drink from water bottles. They will only drink from bowls. I think they learn one way as babies and that's it. Make sure your rabbits are drinking, they can be goofy about it.

I love mine. If there are babies in a cage i also put a bottle in for them.

I have left the bottles in the cages, just in case. I'm glad I did, this morning, one of my does had broke her water nipple. I guess I have a few kinks to work out. But this system couldn't get any easier if I can get the rabbits to use it successfully.

I love mine, they save a lot of time. Make sure you've purged all the air out of the system and each nipple is running well.

I think you'll have to take their old bottles out if you want them to start using the new nipples. Try to put them in the same place so they find the nipples when they go to the usual water place. Watch to make sure they figure out how to use them, generally they'll figure it out if you press them so there's water sitting inside them.

If you're not sure they're using the nipples, you can bring them a bowl twice a day to make sure they stay hydrated. Rabbits that don't drink won't eat. Best to spend the time showing them the nipple though, you don't want them to train you into bringing bowls
