Rabbit Questions

Okay, thank you everybody for the advice.

Sorry for getting back late, I've had a lot of stuff happen and I had to build Sophie's new run. The Run is built, and I moved Sophie over.

I decided not to add a new rabbit, I think you guys are right, she likes to be alone.

Here is a picture of the new run.

I basically took an old trampoline, turned it upside down, then attached a bunch of fencing to it. Going to be adding a roof later on when I get more wire.

I'm using my old chicken feeder and chicken waterer the feed and water her. I have been using regular rabbit feed.

Again, thanks for the help.

She will dig out and be gone if you don't dig in a underground barrier...

What a cute rabbit... right now I have 3 bunnies living together in 1 cage and they get along amazingly (we have reasons to believe they were all from the same litter) I plan on getting rid of 1 just to limit the space they will need when we move them outside. I think it's doable to be able to have them live together but I feel as though you may have to start them young. Since your rabbit is 4 years old she is already set in her ways and is used to having you be her only friend haha.
I like your set up.. very clever to recycle an old trampoline and it looks like a good size space for her!
I also understand about the cost of spaying a rabbit (definitely much cheaper then building a shelter for them) I dont know where you live but the price where I live to spay a single rabbit was about $350 which is insane if you ask me. I definitely dont have a grand to drop on spaying. But I do have $100 to build a shelter for all 3 if I wanted haha

It was hard to get our rabbits to like each other.

Olivia (black one) was very aggressive towards Mr Nibbles (white one). We got them both Neutered as it prevents The risk of reproductive cancers, they live longer and it also helps prevent sexual aggression.
Rabbits are social animals and enjoy the company of other rabbits. But unless your rabbit is altered, he or she cannot have a friend, due to sexual and aggressive behaviors triggered by hormones.

Once they are altered, don’t just throw them in a pen together.
Because of their prey instincts, rabbits are naturally territorial, and therefore the best way to introduce them to each other is on neutral ground. Occasionally the introduction might culminate in fighting. If they do start Battling it out, stop the pair immediately and try again later.
Even if the first introduction is not really eventful, the rabbits should still be housed separately at night. This process can be repeated as many times as necessary over the next few days until you regularly see the pair sitting together/ grooming each other.

@chickensreally

I already thought of that, and I can assure you it is already taken care of. She is a smart rabbit, last time in the old house, she only dug out to get the green grass, because there was none in the Run. This time, I made her a run and gave her all the Green Grass, and when the Run runs out of green grass, I simply move the run to another spot. Even if he does start to dig the hole won't last very long, because I frequently move the run on New spots of fresh grass for her!

Again, she is very smart. When she has everything she needs, she does not dig. It's just who Sophie is.
