Today I learned of an interesting tradition/superstition. Apparently on the first day of the month, you’re supposed to say “rabbit, rabbit” (sources differ on the number of “rabbits” that must be said) before you say anything else for the day, and it’s supposed to bring you good luck for the rest of the month 😄

Disclaimer: I’m not sure what’s supposed to happen if it’s not the very first thing you say, so good luck! 🤣

Oh, and Agatha for tax 🥰

I learned about this tradition a few years ago, and still haven't remembered to actually do it on the first of the month. Might explain how things generally go in my life... 🤭
That might explain a few things around here too 🤣
I had never heard about it until today, but I doubt I’ll remember it either 🤣

My family would say "I hate rabbits" or "I hate smoked fish" when campfire smoke blew in our faces. Then the smoke would supposedly move on to the next person.
Do I hate rabbits? No.
Do I know where this tradition came from? No.
Does it work? No
Is it funny to see some cousins get in a yelling match with a campfire about who hates rabbits more? Yes
