Rabbit won't stop mating hens

The exact same thing is happening with our rabbit! The hen is lacking feathers on her back and acting strange, but she seems to tolerate the rabbit, even laying on him as if he’s a hatchling.. can this interspecies mating cause any health problems for the hen?? Besides the obvious lack of feathers on her hindquarters.

100%. Rabbits have a penis. Chickens are not built to tolerate having a penis enter their cloaca. You need to separate them immediately. Letting a rabbit breed a chicken is not okay and shouldn't be allowed even if it's just causing feather loss.

Either seperate the rabbit, fix him or eat him. Sooner or later someone will be badly hurt

My daughter's bun didn't try and breed chickens, but he did have a favorite one, he would crawl between her legs and look up at her, and me with a smile on his face. As if to say..."ain't she neat?" That hen was everyone's favorite. She was top hen, so maybe everyone was sucking up to her.

I'm really hoping that I'm not the only person that's having this problem.. our male rabbit is mating my chickens! He's "attracted" to this one hen in particular and it's gotten so bad that I've had to separate her because she wasn't eating was huddled in the corner all day. She's better now but I'm still keeping her away from the rabbit. I'm not sure if there's a cure or anything besides putting the rabbit somewhere else but we don't have much room left. Also we can't give him a girl for we don't want baby rabbits! I guess my question is that if anyone else has had this problem before. It's pretty odd.

My male rabbit has a favorite hen and her back is all marked up from his claws. I tried cutting them. Now I’m noticing a couple other hens loosing a lot of feathers and backs marked up. I separated the rabbit from the hens and 2 of the hens I separated as well so they can heal. Was planning on neutering the rabbit and getting him a female friend (also fixed) but now wondering if the rabbits are causing the chickens stress. Any advice?

Don't get another rabbit and don't put this rabbit back in with the chickens...ever.

He's absolutely causing the chickens stress. He needs stay put in a seperate area where he can't bug the birds
