Flemish don't make really good meat rabbits, their skeletons are huge, meaning more feed for a meager meat/bone ratio (compared to what you think you'd get off of them.) They're awesome pet rabbits, but for meaties, I'd go with NZ's (if you don't mind them clamping on everytime your hand's in the cage) or my favorite triple-purpose, standard Rexes, they're good pets, have incredibly soft fur, and they've got a good meat/bone ratio (not quite as good as a NZ meat/bone ratio, but close enough for government work lol.)
