Raccoon attack! Bad wing injury need advice

I had a pullet hang by her wing (jammed in a bend of a folding chair) all night a month or so ago when she attempted to roost in our shed. I'll attach photos. She now has new feathers growing in, as I had trimmed off all her wing feathers to lighten her wing for her (her wing would drag on the ground beside her & trip her up). She doesn't extend her wing fully but uses it to balance when running or jumping. After her injury her wing swole up so much fluid was weeping from her feather follicles, so I put a small cut along the end section of her wing to let it drain. I boosted her feed with protein & mealworms to help her heal, plus sprayed antiseptic spray on the injuries daily. Amazing how resilient they are.
It really is. I wanted to be able to save her wing, but she just lost so much this was the best thing to do.

I agree, I just wish it was something that we could manage ourselves at home. I just wouldn't have been able to justify a vet bill like that for my $4 pullet to my husband. That's why I tried so hard with mine, amazed & astonished at these hardy birds. Glad yours did so well, they deserve special treatment just for surviving, mealworms for life!!!

Yea I just felt like I had to do the best for her if I knew she could still make it because I did the same for my duck, it was only fair.

Another update, she seems to be still doing well, but I was wondering about ideas to encourage her to eat more. I've tried her feed, mealworms, and peas, and plan on making her eggs later. She just kind of nibbles on the peas and I can't tell if she's touched her feed.

Is she drinking.....pooping?
Eggs might do the trick.
May be too soon for a hearty appetite?
What did the vet say about aftercare.....how long the anesthesia might affect her(if it was used)..what to feed, etc?

Didn't say much, they showed us how to give antibiotics, I think she pooped yesterday. She was drinking a lot the first day before the vet but not as much now.
