Raccoon proof latch?

We just bought the producers pride sentinel as a transition coop for our two little chicks between the brooder and the large coop with the big girls.
The latches are so easy to open it makes me nervous about a raccoon or even a good windy day. (Currently I have everything tied down with wire, but that is only temporary).
Any idea on what we can use that would be small enough? I am having a hard time finding something small but secure.

That's what I think too. I went to the rural king but all of the latches were huge. I am new to this so dont want to get something online the critters can open anyway.

Because it's a steel structure with close proximity that may not fit standard latches, I'd lean toward drilling a hole in each side and install an eye bolt, then perhaps bend the threaded shanks so the eyes line up better or are closer together so you can secure with a carabiner. Hopefully that made sense, did in my head.

Here's my lock. Two eye bolts and a carabineer. When unhooked, it works as a door pull.

You could install a piece of wood or flat metal above the part of the latch such that it would need to be swung out of the way to lift the latch. You just need one screw or rivet for each pc. I hope that makes sense.

I went with a similar approach. The carabiner is probably more secure than my straight shaft pin, but I have two of them, so a coon would have to get it twice.
