I've got a 2-tonne pellet hoper and get bulk pellets delivered to my house. So I thinking about using them in my winter under-the-deck coop. Looks like some ducks eat them, but other than that I don't see a downside.

I’m in SK (near Saskatoon) and am planning to insulate our coop when we build… someone mentioned mice potentially infesting the insulation. Have you had that problem at all?
Hi, Prairieacreage! No mice so far. I tried to make the walls tight with plywood, Rockwool insulation is supposed to be repellent to mice but it’s more expensive than fiberglass. There are mouse tracks outside the coop in the run but no sign of them inside. Mice are often a problem in insulation but if you need insulation, you need it, mice or not! The mice won’t leave if you don’t use insulation either!I’m in SK (near Saskatoon) and am planning to insulate our coop when we build… someone mentioned mice potentially infesting the insulation.
