Racoon attack; wing torn and toes gone.

Looks like she really enjoys her little cave box. But it needs to be bigger
I'm changing it out soon. Haha. Nice thing about it being small is she sticks her butt out so in the morning, all the poo is easy to grab away. Ha. I'm glad she is eatting...I hope she continues to get better. I'm trying to spray her once or twice daily w the Spur spray I got.

Hoping around. She ate some more and then I sprayed her w the Spurr spray before this video. She wanted to get back into the new box.

Looks good to me, she's eating and likes to be in the box.
Likely feels snuggly and secure in the box.

It's also good that she's walking/moving around some, at her own pace, put this is a positive!

If you are running out of towels/clothes, etc. for her to be on or having to do a lot of washing/laundry. Puppy pads come in handy.
I usually keep some old towels, etc., so there's cushioning/snuggle factor, then put a pad on top, this way I might get away with washing every few days unless something gets messed up. Puppy pads can just be rolled up and thrown in the trash, it's convenient:)
I get the largest ones I can find, unless there's a great deal on a different size - I price shop. Large/long puppy pads can always be cut in 1/2 or even 1/4ths depending on where they are being used.
Just a tip in case you need one.

You're doing a nice job taking care of her.

Update... video from this morning. She is eating well and pooing well. I'm wondering how I can build a simple fly proof enclosure so I can keep her outside. Whenever I take her outside for a little bit of time, I feel like she perks up a bit.

You could spray your coop with permethrin, and use some fly traps to control flies. Permethrin garden dust, spray, or a horse product called SWAT gel can be applied to repel flies. Droppings can attract more flies so cleaning a couple of times a day may help. That works really well if you use sand for bedding, since you can use a broom and a kitty litter shovel to clean. Screen over a wire dog crate may be attached. Some use screen wire cut into strips at doors and screen over windows. The permethrin spray last 30 days, so that can do a lot.

So here are some pictures of her. I guess it's been about a week now since her attack. I do not smell rotten flesh smell like I think I may have earlier on (not sure still...)!. She eats well and poos well. I'm thinking of making her a little sick chicken coop area next to the side of the house but I'm worried about flies getting in. I'm thinking of making a small wooden rectangular structure on dirt with hardware cloth then window screen on top to keep out the flies...do you guys think that will work?

Just be careful that there's enough ventilation so she doesn't overheat.
