I have definitely noticed that when my neighbours male dog pees near my coop, the raccoons do not visit. the only time they come is when the dog is out of town. maybe try walking your dog near the chicken house and have them pee around it? Or, like another comment says, take some of that morning pee and put around the coop in the evenings

Good thread. I’m gonna use some of these tips. We have a motion activated alarm on a camera. I turn it on at night and if it detects motion, it sends an alert to my phone and sets off a loud siren. We can also talk through the camera, but i haven’t tried that. I’m not sure if either of these would work to deter a raccoon, but we do get them occasionally and haven’t had a problem yet.
