ya i use those duke number 3 coil springs rubber jaws (legal) and yet to catch anything though.

They are all super smart. It takes patience and a lot of wit to catch them. My fox has come in my run area 3 nights in a row now. I set up my traps just outside the entrance. The trick is to be patient, set up the traps out of site but on the edge of the hay, and walk between the two traps instead of around. They'll smell your avoidance.

I was referring to cajun chickens efforts. We are transferring our own situations into these threads.

You found it in the morning? Could it possibly be an Owl? I do not have alot of experience with Owls, but I do believe they are head eaters sometimes.. I saw a big one just the other night. That chicken was roosting outside the protection... the owl made your decision easier... if it is an owl.

Yeah I found it in the morning. I'm thinking it might be hawk or owl. I set a trap baited with tuna and marshmallows and didn't get anything in 2 nights. Just keeping an eye out right now and making sure none of the others try to roost outside the enclosed coop/run.
